當LED成為照明主流前, 有很多需要克服, 當然其中包含了產品的品質及安全性, 在歐盟不是產品貼上CE就等於有了萬靈丹, 歐盟成員國每週皆會在各個國家抽查販售的產品, 若產品抽檢後不符合歐盟要求, 歐盟官方會公佈制造商的詳細資料, 並說明危險原因及要求的後續回收方法

重點在於不是產品有沒有CE Markting而是協助廠家申請CE Markting的單位或實驗室是否清楚目前歐盟的要求, 但羊毛還是出在羊身上, 選擇國際級的發證單位或有口碑的測試實驗室核發CE報告或申請GS證書, 這才能確保燈具廠商避免法律及罰款問題, 另一方面也可提昇產品品質及市場信賴度
